About the album Purbayan said, “Most Indian instruments need to be struck to produce a sound and the body becomes an instrument of vibration when you perform; hence I named my album Stringstruck. I wanted a symphonic sound just like you have in Western orchestra and each rhythm to be coherent. There is (a) jazz and blues track, a lounge number, and a playful duet… I have compiled music that can cater to different moods.”
