Born in Graz, Austria, Georg Gratzer studied Jazzsaxophone at the University for Music and Arts in Graz. After graduating he went to New York to study with Robert Dick and Ned Rothenberg, moved to London to perform with free improvisers and to compose contemporary soundtracks for theatre performances. He explores exotic instruments while travelling, like the chinese instruments Dizi & Hulusi, the peruvian Zampoña as well as the indian folk flute bansuri. http://www.myspace.com/ggratzer
