This is a nice evening of fusion music with great musicians exploring, experimenting, inventing new musical horizons. Sanjay Maroo first, accompanied by S.Harikumar, violin virtuoso disciple of L.Subramaniam, and Baiju, the lead guitarist of the rock band Motherjane. Followed by Sandhya Sanjana, a singer fusing jazz and world music and who's received great reviews in Europe.

BLUEFIRE FEATURING SANJAY MAROO 10 pm - 10.45 pm
BlueFire, a band originally formed in London by Harikumar Sivan (Formerly S.Harikumar), with Chris Haig, Geoff Castle, Steve Taylor and Viktor Oburst.
His search for like-minded and competent musicians capable to not only play, but enhance the intricate compositions; and jam sessions with Lead Guitarist Baiju Dharmajan of Motherjane and Drummer-Singer Sanjay Maroo led to the formation of the new BlueFire on his return.
The band also includes Brian Bones (Bass), Jairam (Percussionist) and Bolshoy (Keyboards).
The name BlueFire derived from the Sanskrit word Agni (fire) at its most potent state becomes relevant with the eclectic combination of Jazz, Rock, Carnatic and Indian styles. The music is predominantly pure improvisation as the central focus is on the spot creation around the framework of the riffs and structures of the compositions. There is a seamless flow of influences in the interpretations of the compositions, as the varied backgrounds of the players come to the fore individually, yet flowing together in a streaming confluence.
SANDHYA SANJANA 10.45 pm - 11.45 pm
Sandhya Sanjana, originally from Mumbai, is an Indian vocalist who integrates Indian classical vocals with jazz and world music.
Recently she recorded her solo album, Random Access Melody. She invited fourteen of her favourite musicians from all over the world to participate. The album has received excellent reviews. This is the first time since she moved to Europe that she is putting a band together with some of her ex colleagues and performing her music in India.
