About Gordon Edge
Well, I've been DJing for over 15 years and playing the trumpet longer than that! When I started djing I always wanted to make my own productions so I started doing tape edits etc. I got inspired to make my own records after doing the world tour playing trumpet alongside my brother Stuart with 'Sade' My first demo (with Adam Routh) got signed to Virgin 10 records. The record got a good reaction but it took months to actually get it released so in 1991. I started my own labels to get tracks out from studio, to 12" and onto the street in 7 days.

The record got a good reaction but it took months to actually get it released so in 1991. I started my own labels to get tracks out from studio, to 12" and onto the street in 7 days.
It was a great time for 12" white labels. Totally different to the free download situation now. The first releases got great reaction; Edge Records *1 (compnded) just kept on selling and selling!! It's still getting played and licensed to compilations (M.O.S. etc) now and is an official 'Rave' anthem!. I continued producing tracks on the Rabbit City, Edge and XVX labels releasing records every 2 weeks for about 7 years. In total I released over 170 x 12" records (selling close to a million records). At that time I started getting asked to DJ at some of the biggest party's & clubs in Germany. Playing at these opened a lot of doors. I played at parties with DJs like Westbam, Marc Spoon, Timo Mass, Tanith,Dag, Hooligan, MissDjax.
In 1996 I wanted a break from studio life and started racing Moto X which took over from the music for a while! Then in 1998 I went to Ibiza and back to the music. A 2 week holiday turned into the whole season. and then every summer till now! The 3rd day I was in Ibiza I played Space Terrace and that opened so many doors! The same summer I went on to play at all the biggest clubs playing at Pacha, Manumission, Space, Amnesia, Es Paradis etc. It was then that I went into the studio with Adam Routh and made 'Itza Trumpet Thing & had it pressed up and with DJs in just 7 days.
Everyone started playing it and it got to be one of that summers 'records'. While DJing one day I met the owner of a new club in south beach Miami; 'Bar Room' He invited me to be a resident there for the season. So I was all set; Summer; Ibiza, winter; Miami! (get a proper job lad!) Another highlight was on millennium new year when I got to play for Madonna. She then invited me to play for her again in New York at one of her private party's. It was about that time I started adding the trumpet into my DJ sets. I then went on to play sets all over the globe with tours of China, Australia, Russia etc.
In 2005 I got a call from Erick Morillo and a few months later 'Set Your Body Free' was released on Subliminal records. He also invited me to be one of the residents at Subliminal @ Pacha Ibiza which was a great experience!. Summer 2006 I was invited to be one of the resident at Bora Bora, Ibiza! Another great experience sometimes playing up to 5 - 8 hr sets to great people 5/6 days a week! I've been back as resident there each summer since Recent winters have turned into a new obsession in between djing; Snowboarding!!

In this year alone he has rocked the crowds in Lithuania, Spain, Germany, Kazakhstan, Bahrain, Dubai, Egypt, Austria, Switzerland plus grand tours of Russia, India and South America, including appearances at Pacha, Sirena & El Divino in Brazil. After the success of this years India tour Gordon was honoured to be asked to return to India for the Launch of GQ Magazine in Mumbai amongst a whole host of ‘A list’ celebrities from the world of Bollywood.
