Dhruv Ghanekar is a composer, producer and respected guitar player. Coming from a distinguished lineage of Indian classical musicians and an alumnus of the Berkelee School of Music, he is one of the founding partners of Smoke Music Productions (now Blue Frog Production), the leading production house for advertising, television and film. He’s now going back to his roots with a captivating new album that powerfully blends jazz and rock.
Distance is Dhruv’s debut as a solo artist, containing virtuostic arrangements and peaceful sounds blending jazz and contemporary Indian roots. Recorded over five years across two continents with some of the best recording artists, Distance is the natural result of Dhruv’s songwriting and recording path, and is easily the finest album of its genre in recent times.
